PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Bismarck High School, Spring 2021 - Mrs. Sherry Yancey (45 hours) - I have facilitated lessons to make sure every student has the opportunity to learn equally. - Helped demonstrate activities for students who come from culturally diverse backgrounds and struggle with understanding rules. - I have taught and assessed students using standard based learning for certain activities such as fitness week. Solheim Elementary, Fall, 2020 - Mr. Mike Porter (45 hours) -I spent many hours assisting students in the gym on standard based lessons -I created lessons and assessed students based off their ability to follow rules while reaching the standards. -I created a poster board on the importance of hygiene to hang up on the gym wall. Simle Middle School, Spring, 2019 - Mr. Mike Swanson (45 hours) - I spent the first couple weeks observing and then transitioned into teaching lessons that Mr. Swanson had created. -Developed strategies to work with students with anger management. - 5 minute break standing next to me or on the wall. Homeschool teaching, Spring 2018, Fall 2019 - Dr. Wade Kooiman (80 hours) -Created lessons for all different ages and assisted my classmates in their lessons. - Used interest-based learning to develop lessons. -Used classroom management skills to create a safe place to learn -Covered up the rock wall in the fieldhouse so kids couldn't crawl on it. |

- She taught me how to work with students who need extra help to reach the standards we try to teach.
-I adapted our games to make sure everyone had an equal opportunity to learn. This was a humbling and helpful experience for my career.
- Used larger/brighter objects for students with vision impairment.
-I monitored the activities for the safety of the students.
